Okay, so we have the official announcement of Tales of the Shire. And it’s developed by Weta Workshop? THE people who know The Lord of the Rings like no other? AND…it’s a cozy game? What? Gimmee…
Seriously, after watching The Lord of the Rings trilogy and seeing the beautiful serenity of The Shire, who wouldn’t want to live as a Hobbit and eat potatoes all day? It’s a cozy life sim that doesn’t have a single Nazgul or orc to ruin your day. No adventures that just don’t look like a very good time.
You get to live out your cozy fantasy of living in the comfort of a hobbit hole and making it your own. Make friends and build relationships, and I’m sure you could create a garden to make Samwise Gamgee officially drop those eves.
In Lord of the Rings, Bywater is a village in the Shire near Bilbo’s Hobbiton BUT a key aspect of this game is that Bywater has not yet achieved village status. You help get it there! Complete daily activities and gain official village status in Bywater.
Live as any respectable hobbit would. Stock up your pantry by fishing and gardening and then making culinary masterpieces at breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, or even afternoon tea. You get the idea.
This game is set to release on PC and all consoles at the end of 2024. Let’s hope (for my sake) that it releases earlier than that.
Are you as excited as I am for this release? Let us know in the comments!

Brandy grew up in a small suburb outside Houston, Texas, in a time when MTV still had music videos and before video game consoles in homes were a thing. She may be the only one in her town that owned a ColecoVision instead of an Atari. She also has a knack for finding the humor in everything even in situations where maybe she shouldn’t.
CANCELLED? Arcane is getting canceled after season two? Well, yes. But there is more to it than that. Let’s talk about what's happening, what we are getting, and what's coming in the future. Fear not Arcanians - there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
Wait, is The Sims 5 really canceled? While The Sims 5 may not be happening, The Sims team has plenty of exciting ideas for the future of The Sims 4 and franchise. From a The Sims movie to Creator Kits to The Sims Creator Program to The Sims Labs, and even a multiplayer experience, dubbed Project Rene!
I am really excited to play this game! It cannot be released fast enough!
RIGHT????!!!! It would be so great if it had multiplayer but I saw nothing about that
This looks so CAYUUTE!!
