10 Video Game Villains Who Are Baddies In More Ways Than One

hello world!

OK, we’re all going to be really respectful and mature about this. I don’t wanna see those comments popping off with drooling sycophants, writing disgusting things that your mama would be ashamed to see you write. Let’s stay classy out there, San Diego.

But, damn, there are some hotties out there in our video games. More than that, there are some hotties out there that are trying to kill, maim, or destroy you in video games. Some designs of villains can be flirtatious, seductive, or just plain jaw-dropping. Even if the characters are not conventionally attractive or wearing revealing clothes, these baddies are BADDIES in every sense of the word.

So without further ado, let’s get on with the ranking!

Please be aware, there will be SPOILERS within this article. It’s the nature of the beast when you’re talking about video game villains.

10 Jessie (Pokémon)

Prepare for Trouble! Team Rocket’s Jessie, although she is hardly ever separated from her cohort, James, is that kind of crazy that makes her very interesting. She also has a cool style and awesome pink hair. The dealbreaker with Jessie, though, is whether Team Rocket’s Meowth comes with her. I’ll let you decide which way that tips the scale.

9 Nora (Streets of Rage)

Maybe this is a little on the nose, but Nora has always been hot. Yeah, she’s a stripper, but until I researched this article, I had no clue about that. I just thought she was a girl who dressed cute and attacked with a whip. This infatuation goes all the way back to the original Streets of Rage, but in Streets of Rage 4, Nora’s design was upscaled and refined. She’s great, but I’m not sure if I’m down with the punishment that she’d deal with that whip.

8 Trilla (Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order)

Trilla is the main antagonist in the first entry of the Star Wars: Jedi series. For a good portion of the game, the Second Sister, a fallen Jedi turned Inquisitor, was hidden behind a mask akin to Darth Vader’s. When she finally unmasks, though, she is surprisingly appealing to the eyes. She’s also a badass and knows her way around a lightsaber. Ahhhh, the dances we could have… before she impales me with her red laser sword.

7 Megaera (Hades)

Meg is the first boss you encounter as you (Zagreus) attempt to escape the Underworld in Supergiant’s roguelike masterpiece, Hades. Calling her a villain is a little bit of a stretch because she and our protagonist have a complicated (and also amorous) relationship. However, she is an enemy in the sense that she’s trying to stop you from accomplishing your goal. Meg is a Fury, but her appearance belies her ferocity. Being of the Gods, she’s freaking beautiful.

6 Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower (Bloodborne)

What can I say about Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower that hasn’t already been said? The cover athlete of The Old Hunters DLC was so striking that Gehrman created the Doll in the Hunter’s Dream to resemble her. Studying under Gehrman as a formidable Hunter, she became trapped in the Hunter’s Nightmare after doing unspeakable things to the inhabitants of the Fishing Hamlet, all in the name of Kos. She’s an awesome boss with an absolutely banger of a soundtrack to accompany her fight. There’s a reason they made a special bot to look like her in Astro Bot.

5 Mileena (Mortal Kombat)

Who doesn’t love a girl with a beaming smile on her face? And that’s exactly what Mileena has. The Tarkat disease she has contracted has slightly deformed her facial features, but I’m choosing to see it as a positive. I mean, she also has that really long and flexible tongue. So what if Mileena is aligned with Mortal Kombat villainry? I can look past that for this girl.

4 Lady Dimitrescu (Resident Evil Village)

As soon as Lady Dimitrescu of Resident Evil Village was revealed, the internet became crazy obsessed and, let’s face it, a little bit weird about her. This 8-foot-tall vampire lady, voiced by Maggie Robertson, was being cosplayed by all and sundry, and those who weren’t dressing as her were asking her to step on them. In the game, she’s a stalker enemy, following you around to try to kill you at every turn. It’s pretty unsettling, but maybe a little exciting, too?

3 Monika (Doki Doki Literature Club Plus)

Do I have a problem? Probably. Monika is the main antagonist and your tormentor in Doki Doki Literature Club Plus. She messes with your mind, kills your friends and prospective girlfriends, and lets you sit with some disturbing imagery. But, come on, if there is someone who is going to be obsessed with you to this degree, you’d want it to be Monika. Right? RIGHT????

2 Malenia (Elden Ring)

Ignore the difficulty of the encounter and just take note of Malenia, Blade of Miquella. A towering red-haired demi-God, Malenia is a highlight of Elden Ring, featuring prominently in promotional media. She’s cool enough in her stylish armor, but in her second phase, she grows wings made from scarlet rot flowers and reveals her lovely face. Sure, her eyes are a little red, but maybe she’s just been getting in touch with her sensitive side under that Golden Era Flash helmet.

1 Sniper Wolf (Metal Gear Solid)

Metal Gearrrrrrrr. Imagine it being said in the gruff voice of David Hayter. Metal Gearrrrr. Okay, I’m done.

Sniper Wolf was the formidable long-range sharpshooter in Metal Gear Solid, part of the notorious group, FOXHOUND. Aside from being a stone-cold fox, and wearing an impractical coat with a revealing cleavage, Sniper Wolf is also a lover of animals and has a softer side. I mean, there’s a reason Otacon loved her as much as he did.

So, go on! Tell me who I’m missing! Are you annoyed I didn’t have Ada Wong on this list? How about The Boss? Let me know in the comments the glaringly obvious misses in my list!
