DATE: 04/28/21
By Dan Morris & Pagan McGrath and Dan Morris & Pagan McGrath

This week we are joined by Erika to discuss the D.I.C.E. Awards, the winners and this year’s guest host Kahlief Adams. We all get passionate about the progression of diversity and how important Kahlief’s presence is.

Pagan’s favorite bits:

  • Learning that Erika moved to Utah to find love among the LDS community, and then finding her husband, getting married, and being married for almost 7 years is adorable!
  • Discussing the importance of Kahlief Adam’s podcast and the movement towards better forms of equality and diversity in games media really hits home. Being from a country that is literally called ‘The Rainbow Nation’ with 11 national languages, it really hits a special place in my heart to see more people embrace diversity in the industry.
  • Hades sweeps house at the D.I.C.E awards is surprising but so worthy, super glad they got the recognition for their incredible masterpiece

Dan’s favorite bits:

  • Talking about The D.I.C.E. awards and the amazing work that Kahlief Adams did in co-hosting as well as the panels he ran for the show. Kahlief’s contribution to pop culture and the diversification of games media can not be understated.
  • Breaking down James Gunn’s role in making a great DC movie as well as his other works including the video game he made, Lollipop Chainsaw.
  • Ghost of Tsushima and Hades get some much-deserved accolades at the D.I.C.E. Awards.
